As new owners of a 1983 Ebbtide 33 we are starting this blog to gather and share info on all Alan Pape-designed Ebbtides. Ours is a steel 33 footer but I am aware of some 36's. At this time I am pretty much in the learning stage and would welcome anyone interested in this great design to feel free to contribute to this blog. I would eventually like to have a comprehensive list of all of the boats out there and use this site as a clearing house for all things Ebbtide. Please email us with your stories and we will post them here. Ideas include: improvements you have done, repairs, maintenance, painting, places you have gone . . . whatever! Hi,
I had an Ebbtide 36 built in Cornwall by Oceancraft in 1986. We sailed her for 5 years and then sold her in Washington State, USA. Her original name was Lily, and we wrote about how she safely took care of us when we drove her on the beach in Bonaire in 1989. I think she was renamed "Ocean Navigator" later. If anyone knows the whereabouts of this boat I would love to hear.
